what has 2012 looked like for us?

Why Hello!! It has been forever since I blogged last. I honestly forgot that I had one. So I guess I now have a whole year to catch everyone up on! I'll tell you there is a ton of information.

I'll start with January 1st, 2012.
On this day Craig, Micha and I were driving home from California with my father in the back of our car! This if you did not know is a miracle in of itself! My father who has been a drug addict my entire life was moving to Texas with us to straighten his life out! I was one of the proudest people in the world! Now, almost 11 full months later my dad has moved back to California and is still clean!! Daddy I am so proud of you!!

This however was just the beginning of a full and crazy year for us! In February Craig and I decided to start looking into buying a house. By  mid February we had found the house that we were in love with!!  We were at the time close to seven and a half months pregnant with our little princess Sophia! So we got the house! We moved in on March 1st and were so very excited to do so!! Were homeowners!! It's an awesome feeling to be able to say that.

Next big thing! Sophia Rosalie decided to come into our lives!! She is an angel and is just perfect!! She chose to start her grand entrance into the world on April 21st at about 09:30am. I woke up with severe pain in my abdomen and groin area. I was not sure if I was in labor or not so I got into the bathtub and when the contractions kept coming instead of sowing down I decided to go to the hospital. By the time we got to the hospital my contractions were so close together and so strong I was having a hard time breathing. Suffice it to say they admitted me and we were one step closer to adding a new bundle of perfect joy to our lives! Less than 4 hours later Sophia made her grand entrance into the world with the doctor still putting on her gown! Yup she quite literally POPPED out of me! haha She was an amazing little girl and I was extremely in love with her as was her father!

Also, in our lives of course is our Miracle Baby who is now three years old!! Micha is growing so fast! He is an amazing child and is so incredibly intelligent to the point that he scares me! One of his biggest accomplishments this year is he potty trained himself when Sophia was just two months old! Amazing! He just woke up one morning and was ready to start using the bathroom goodbye pull ups and diapers hello underwear! His second achievement and by far the cutest one is that he is an AMAZING big brother! His sister is his world! I could not ask for a better reaction to his sister than he gives! She is his Sophia and I am so glad that he loves her so much!

Now that brings us to Craig! Well, the Army is an interesting life that is for sure! Three times his unit has changed their minds on if he was deploying or not! Well, as of now he is not deploying! Thank God! I am so blessed with this and I know that! I have many friends who's husbands are leaving this year or have already and here I am blessed that it is reenlistment time for Craig and he still has not deployed! I know I am blessed and I will continue to be grateful for that!

As for myself, I have just been filled with blessings this year from my husband and children and I am still right where I was at the beginning of the year! Just so terribly proud of my family! I am blessed beyond measure and I am eternally grateful for my husband, children, father and and my life!

Sincerely,
Nikki
