As a military spouse you meet new people everyday, and you have to say bye to many of those people a lot sooner than you want too. I have this year had to say bye to several people in my military life. Two people in particular this year either have or are moving. Both have become dear friends who I am eternally grateful to have met. These women have changed my life dramatically and I could not have been more blessed to have met them.
The first was Katie. She and I became friends in a very short time, but that friendship I believe will last a lifetime. Katie and her family got out of the military and were able to go home to be with family. I am so happy for them and at the same time I am so sad for myself. Everyday Katie or her daughter pop into my head and I think.. "man, I wish they could be here for this!" We miss you guys and we can not wait to see y'all again soon! Your one of a kind and one of the best! I will be eternally grateful to the military for bringing us together!
The second is Kim! Kim, has brought so much into my life. When I met her she reminded me so much of myself after I lost Jacey. She has gone through so much and it brought our friendship closer than I believe it would have ever been. We have bonded over our miracle babies and I am so grateful and blessed to have been apart of her little miracle! Alyssa came into her life at just the right time and I can see it in her eyes! Every horrible day before she made her appearance into this world was made a little easier to live with when she held that little girl.
In the last eight months since she has had her baby girl she has learned so many things that affect children she has taught me more than I ever could have realized and possibly saved my children from more than I believe she will ever know. Kim you are an amazing mother and do not ever let anyone tell you differently! You always do what your heart tells you too, more than likely it will be the right thing!
Thank you both for being a part of my life and being there when I needed you! I know that had my husband not joined the military we would have never met and I would not have ever been blessed with you two as some of my closest friends. You both, even tho you are younger, have taught me so much and I will be eternally grateful for the short time that we had together here at Ft. Bliss!
Kim, maybe one day we will be stationed together again! We can only hope!! Katie, you and your little family will just have to come see us and we will definitely be coming to see you!
Sincerely,
A very blessed friend!
